On May 4, we conducted a workshop entitled “Drawing for Birders” at the Salmonberry room of Stanley Park Ecology Society office. The workshop included 17 participants. The purpose of this workshop was to help birders develop their drawing skills in the field. The workshops goal was to raise awareness about the use of drawing as a tool for recording observations and to develop the necessary skills to do so. Through the use of taxidermies and photographs, participants engaged in activities such as drawing majors shapes or markings, gesture drawing, blind line drawing, and semi-blind line drawing.
